Today is St. Therese of the Child Jesus memorial day. We have become very fond of St. Therese ever since my sister became a leader for a girls group called the Little Flowers Girls Club. The patron saint for the club is St. Therese. After visiting my sister a few times during her monthly meeting with the Little Flowers, my daughter wanted to start a group of her own here in our city. During the summer we gather her other cousins and a few friends and started the club. My son wanted to join too, so intead of a girls club we had a kids club. Girls learn about Girl saints and boys learn about Boy saints. Thanks to Jessica and her blog Shower of Roses, I was able to make this group a great success. Jessica has great ideas for the Little Flowers Girls club. We still have three more lessons to finish for the first Year. I think I will schedule a meeting for this month. And celebrate St. Therese day with a special cake and invite some of the girls to come later this evening. You can find out more about the Little Flowers Girls Club here.
